I Love My Church! Memorial Day service was incredible. It’s a pleasure to be a part of a movement of God where people are coming to a place where they feel welcome and accepted. I stopped by the restroom after the service, and as I walked up to the sink, this guy looks over at me and says, “Man, that was awesome! I’ve only been to church three times in my life and this is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.” He went on to tell me how he is a recovering alcoholic and trying to get his life straight, and it was obvious that his experience at Newspring was impactful. We walked outside and had a brief conversation, and then he went on his way. But I know for a fact, that it was the best church experience he had ever had.

Newspring is on a mission to, “reach people far from God and teach them to follow Jesus step by step. And that’s exactly what’s happening. I’ve been an Owner (what Newspring calls members because, “members have rights and owners have responsibilities) since October of 2013, and it has been an amazing journey. One of the great things about Newspring is the way people get the opportunity to serve in a way they enjoy. I had the honor and privilege to lead the team that set up and tore down the production equipment for church to take place. We used to meet at the FLorence Civic Center and shared space with rodeos and monster trucks. A group of ten to fifteen people showed up before 4AM to unload box trucks and set up church for over 2000 people to hear the gospel. It sounds terrible to most people, but me and the other crazies on my team LOVED it! And that’s my point, there’s a way to make church the highlight of the week, and to help those who want to serve do so in a way they enjoy.

Keep making progress,
