Children see a world full of wonder, full of new ideas, full of excitement. Somewhere along the way, it shifts to the “real world.” It doesn’t have to be this way.

There are those who don’t stop. Those people who constantly find the new and wonderful. Those who, even after reaching adulthood, continue to be amazed by this world and all there is to discover! These people become something- Entrepreneurs, Visionaries, Leaders. While the rest of the world is standing by, the leaders are out there creating a new reality. These are the people who shape the future.

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Steve Jobs

So what can you do? How can you embrace this mindset? Read, Listen, Learn!

Luke 6:45 says, “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil things stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Sounds like common sense, right? Well then why do we wonder why, as a nation, we’re broke, depressed, unfulfilled, and stuck in a rut? It’s because of what we’re storing up in our hearts!

We’re constantly consuming television, social media, news, and music. And what message is this stuff giving us? Most of the mainstream JUNK is filling our minds with exactly what we pour out. So what can you do? How about changing you input?  I’m a huge fan of books for making a mindset shift. Napolean Hill’s Think And Grow Rich is an amazing resource for changing your mindset. We become what we believe!

What if you don’t have time to read? Audible.com has audio books for sale. You can listen to them in your car while driving to work or in the gym. . Beyond Pod is a great app for your phone. I use it daily to listen to podcasts. There really is no excuse. You don’t have time not to. Life is too short to spend it doing what you hate.

You can either believe that your best years are behind you, or you can begin discovering the world again. “Daring to dream means daring to live.” -Robert H. Schuller.

Keep making progress,
